You can visit us at Château-Chalon (castrum carnonis, 14 rue Saint JEAN) in a house where some scenes from the film "L'Espagnol", famous novel by Bernard Clavel adapted for television by Jean PRAT in 1965, were filmed .
Château-Chalon, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, is located on a rocky outcrop which overlooks the Seille valley as well as the steephead valley Baume-les-Messieurs. Château-Chalon housed a Benedictine abbey founded according to legend in the 7th Century and reserved for daughters of the Nobility (up to 25 abbesses lived in this medieval city). It is in these privileged places that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you and offering you, among others, Côtes du Jura wines, white, red and rosé, white wine of l'Etoile, yellow wine and straw wine , the marvelous sweet wine of Jura le Macvin, 400th French appellation and the classified growth Château Chalon, the famous yellow wine, aged six years and three months in oak barrels without topping and presented in very special 62cl bottles: the "Clavelin".
It is also possible to meet us at l'Etoile (Rue de l'Eglise) where we will make you discover the amazing “pentacrines”, star-shaped fossils, which can be found around a walk in the vineyards!
